Halloween
- Scary Fingers. Cut off one end of a mini corn dog and cover it with ketchup. Then remove the cornbread batter from the other end so the exposed hot dog looks like a fingernail. Serve your scary fingers to ghoulish guests as a creepy treat.
- Creepy Crawly Spiders. Cut four black pipe cleaners in half. On each side of a mini corn dog, gently insert four of the pipe cleaner halves. Then add chocolate morsels as eyes. Little ghosts will shriek at the sight of these easy party snacks.
Barnyard Buddies
Make edible corn dog animals that will get kids excited about mealtimes, such as dogs, cows, etc.
- A Corny Cow. Remove the stick from a corn dog to create the cow’s body. Attach a mini corn dog to one end using a toothpick to create the cow’s head. Then insert four toothpicks into the bottom of the corn dog to make legs and one into the back for a tail. Finish by using barbeque sauce to paint on the cow’s spots. When you’re done with your cow creation, remove the toothpicks and graze away.
- A Hungry Horse. Remove the stick from a corn dog to create the horse’s body. Attach a mini corn dog upright on one end using a toothpick to create the neck. Attach a mini corn dog vertically to create the horse’s head. Then insert four mini corn dogs into the bottom of the corn dog to make legs. Cut up a slice of American cheese into strips and drape over the neck for a mane. Use remaining cheese strips for the tail. Squirt on a saddle with ketchup. After you’re done, remember to remove the toothpicks before riding off into tasty town.

- Prepare a State Fair® Corn Dog 5-count box. Take a head of iceberg lettuce and chop off the bottom so that the lettuce lays flat. Use olives for the eyes and a baby carrot for the nose. Insert both features with toothpicks. Next, take a red bell pepper and cut it in half, removing stem and seeds. Carve out a big smile and place on the lettuce using one toothpick at each corner. For wild hair, insert the five corn dogs evenly across the top of the lettuce, making sure that none of the sticks are exposed. Place the completed corn dude on a serving tray surrounded by veggies and dips. Now just ride the wave to an awesome party.
